Our Story

A Sanctuary Where the Land Leads the Healing

Manidoo Wellness Ranch is an Indigenous-owned health and wellness sanctuary located just outside London, Ontario. Rooted in Indigenous values of connection, respect for the land, healing, and community, the ranch offers a peaceful space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the restorative power of nature.

This is not simply a horse ranch — it is a destination for wellness, reflection, cultural connection, and meaningful experiences. Here, the pace is set by the seasons, the horses, and the quiet rhythm of the fields.

Whether you come to stand in stillness among the lavender, to spend an afternoon in the calm presence of the horses, or to gather with others in community, you will leave with something the land has always known how to give: rest, perspective, and renewal.

Charity Kennedy

Founder, Manidoo Wellness Ranch

Charity's vision for Manidoo Wellness Ranch was born from her own life journey. After losing her mother at a young age, she learned to navigate life's challenges with resilience, eventually discovering the healing power of nature, community, and meaningful connection.

Her Spirit name, Gidagaakoons (Little Deer), reflects gentleness, intuition, and quiet strength. Inspired by these teachings, she created Manidoo Wellness Ranch as a place where people can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves through the wisdom of the land and horses.

Whether someone comes to spend time with the horses, gather with community, or simply enjoy the peace of the ranch, Charity hopes every visitor leaves feeling more grounded, supported, and connected than when they arrived.

The Wisdom of Horses

Horses naturally respond with honesty and presence, creating opportunities for trust, emotional awareness, and calm.

“Little Deer” reminds us to move through life with gentleness, intuition, and courage.

“May everyone who walks this land leave feeling a little lighter, a little stronger, and a little more connected to themselves.”
